How PRP Therapy Works

Your blood contains platelets that are rich in growth factors (which essentially trigger a healing response within the body). In the course of a normal injury, blood rushes to the site, bringing with it platelets that can promote healing in the area. What PRP therapy does is supercharge this normal bodily function – and direct it to specific areas we want healed.

How PRP Therapy Can Effectively Treat Hair Loss

When you receive PRP therapy for hair loss, we first take a sample of your blood and spin it in a centrifuge, which effectively separates the platelets from the rest of the blood. We then inject this concentrated source of platelets into precise areas of your scalp. This increases blood supply to hair follicles and can stimulate hair growth in the area.

The benefits of PRP therapy for hair loss may take some time to be seen. You may begin to see results as early as three months after treatment, but it can be a year before you see the full results.
